Can Porn Ban Ever Be Successful With The Existence Of Search Engines Like Google?
In the last week and since last two months there has been quite a buzz on and about Porn Industry. Indian Government (Cyber Branch specially) has done a lot of research (hoping at least!) and must have implemented a lot of tricks and technologies to ban those 857 Porn Sites. I simply don’t know which 857 sites are banned, but my little research on World’s one of the largest and most used search engines Google, helped me understand that the popular sex sites like 69.com. But what about sites like Brazzers and such (I am not going to list them here), which can still be browsed through?
Over the top, the worst part is these search engines will pull out endless number of sites that is not the part of Banned Porn Sites. While the nation took such a huge step, it should have also tried doing something for Search Engine restrictions (like we had in Europe “Privacy Case” and the “Child Sex” case). I know it is not just the matter of paperwork and it takes a lot of time and other formalities to do so.
However, the fact that today most of the Indians rely heavily on Google for fetching the likes of the individual. In such a scenario it is quite obvious that people will search for porn sites than just browse the specific known sites. And since some of our politicians and columnists think that India is Sex Obsessed, it is equally important to know that the World thinks alike.
I would like to quote what Shunali Shroff says in her article ‘India: From Nation of Sex Maniacs to Virgins’, posted on DailyO, BJP’s “Subramanian Swamy says, it was imposed to prevent Indians from becoming sex maniacs.”
Let think like the lamest man in India, when he searches for a porn video or story sites.
The person would likely visit the known list of sites like 69.com and all, but then the page will most likely display this message:
Error. Page cannot be displayed. Please contact your service provider for more details.
So, finally he will close and search the keyword in Google, Bing, Yahoo Search, etc. And to my surprise 40-60% of the top listed 10 sites will work. To try-and-test I searched for two most common searches “teen sex” and “maid sex”.
Here is the preview of my search on Teen Sex (see yourself):
2 of 4 top recommended sites will gladly open their arms for Mr. Swamy’s Sex Maniacs.
2 of 5 top recommended sites will again gladly open their arms for Mr. Swamy’s Sex Maniacs.
What is the solution? According to me, instead of banning these sites, we should focus more on awareness and education. A well read man or even an educated person will be afraid to bore more than two children (so Swamy sir’s our overpopulation problem is solved).
Don’t forget the ‘MangoPeople’. These people believe in expanding their family count so that they have more hands to earn the same hungry mouths. We should focus on their employment and right wage (note; still our noble school teachers are paid somewhere between 4-10 thousand per month, which is extremely low for healthy living, forget luxury.) than on simply banning a handful of sites (which absolutely makes no sense, not in terms of privacy and all, it simply has negligible impact).
On this Independence Day, I would like to awaken our Common Senses and the ability to Reason than to passively accepting the decisions and thoughts. Let’s fight but not with Bans and Nuclear and Satellites, but with common sense, knowledge, humanity, self-awareness and experience.
Happy Independence Day

I Met India
Madras or Chennai, call it as you like, is the place that extracted
writer from my dreams. Every time I say that I have achieved something, I fall
and I dream. I dream not flowers or beautiful beaches of Chennai, but I nightmare
my past. I see it as it is following me; I see it when I see a small boy on any
store working for a living; I see it when I see aged people walking in pain and
shame. I see it everywhere.
I was probably 8 or 9 years old, I wasn’t young, as my work
demanded seriousness and understanding that comes with age. I was studying in 4th
standard. I still remember when a fine day I went to a store, located right in
front of my first School David Matriculation
Beach-The Beauty of Poverty |
The next day I went to the same store with the hope that I
will not be seeing any coconut sweet kept on his counter. But, I wasn’t lucky.
I asked the shopkeeper whether he wanted more coconut sweet to sell or not. I
tried to convince him at first, but after trying for the next 15 minutes, I
started losing hope. But the boy within me was young and stubborn, he finally stopped
convincing and said “Anna, keep this. Not sold by tomorrow, I will take back.
You don’t need to pay now. Pay only for what is sold”. I left my 8 small
plastic pouch containing roughly 5 coconut sweets each. These small pouches where
stapled on a long paper strip.
I left the shop and went to another and did the same. By the
time I reached home I was left with some 2 strips. I gave it to my mother who
was making coconut sweets to be packed for the next slot. I remember how she
used to cry when after cooking for many continuous hours her hands swelled to
almost double its normal size. I may be exaggerating a bit, but excuse me for I
remember things that my small and punished eyes saw.
Those few months helped me see the real face of world that
is money driven and so…

Awareness about BMI for Women, Men at a Glance…
In the times of today, a vast majority of people seem to be getting aware of gadgets and other innovative inventions that can make them feel healthier, wealthier and wiser. Have you ever given a thought to calculate body to mass ratio by taking into account your height as against weight irrespective of your gender? Body-Mass Index (BMI) is now becoming popular not only with women but also with men and children of all ages. Based upon the formula (BMI=kg/m2), the basic requirement for BMI is that you should be at least 58 inches tall i.e. 4’10’’ and have a weight of at least 91 pounds. These days more and more women are using a BMI Calculator, to know about their body statistics.
How to Calculate My BMI?
The calculation of your BMI can be done quite effectively without getting into the complexities of it. The formula for BMI calculation remains the same for one and all. You just require mentioning two basic pieces of information, viz., your height and your weight. Ideal BMI for adult category lies between 18.5 and 24.9. In fact, a person over and above 24.9 ought to be considered overweight; likewise a person below 18.5 is considered underweight. There are some points to consider while calculating the BMI of both men and women. Keeping in mind that BMI is being calculated to calculate body fatness, an observation has been made: Body fat in the persons who are athletes and/or muscular individuals can be overestimated whereas the body fat in old persons who have lost their muscular mass ought to be underestimated.
Henceforth, we can conclude that a person might be totally healthy but might have an ‘unhealthy BMI’.
What Role Does BMI Calculation Plays In The Life Of Obese People?
The number of individuals with an ’unhealthy BMI’ is increasing at an alarming rate. Approximately 130 million people are overweight in the United States, which means they have a BMI between 25 to 29.9. Nearly 60 million people are obese, meaning BMI greater than 30. Also child obesity is a matter of great concern in the US.
One can easily refer to a professional and ask him or her to just ‘calculate my BMI’. Upon getting the response, he or she can decide whether something ought to be done to reach the right BMI levels. With proper guidance, the Body Mass Index can be brought to normalcy. A routine check for all the family members is a must. BMI for women after pregnancy ought to be done at regular intervals.
How To Springboard Yourself Back To Normal Life…
Life is not a myth. Each person alive has some purpose to be here. Good health is one wish that every person wants from God. It is a common belief that if your health is good, you can enjoy the freedom of living a better life. Nothing matters as much as good health; you can ask cancer patients how much they crave for it. Latest developments in technology for healthcare like the BMI are encouraging all to get the best possible factual information about themselves and their kins. Attain fulfillment in your life, stay healthy, work hard, and party harder!

Office Story
You hook up your ears and you hook up your eyes.
Your watch is burning and your mood keeps turning.
Sometimes, the fan is slow or the AC is low.
But that won’t count when your work is to account.
You smell sth. fishy and you say something bitchy.
These qualities of women are not unknown to professional men.
I sense some glory and find a story.
Some shine while some are ingloriously mine.
I am typing this message or is it a passage?
I am narrating this story or writing poetry?
Now whom shall I ask, to whom give this task?
Everyone here is my friend and not a soul is a fiend.
To whom shall I request, to travel this quest?
The question is same, but the answer needs to be a name.

From Plastics, Metals, to Electronics - India Welcomes All Foreign Companies with Better Garland Now
There have
been many companies and groups that have been waiting to hear this news (FDI
permission in India) from more than a decade to guess. The news that probably
allows them to grow further into one of the world’s largest market and probably
of the bests for foreign companies in terms of Foreign Direct Investment is
India’s allowance towards it.
Now that
India has allowed Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) till a certain level (for the
record; in aviation up to 49%, in broadcast sector up to 74%, in insurance
sector up to 49%, in multi-brand retail up to 51% and in single-brand retail up
to 100%) it seems that industries and other OCBs (Overseas Corporate Bodies)
will start entering the Indian market. Manufacturing, service (wherein comes
Packaging Industry) and also somewhat retail sales. The contribution to
manufacturing and service divisions are 23% and 41% respectively. The new FDI
announcement has most of its links with retail market but it is also to note
that as OCBs will enter the market there is to be an increase in the demand of
machines, packaging substances, infrastructures, and many more. This of course
again needs a good lot of companies to match the demand end.
In India, cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, and Kolkata have been the centres for the development and settlement of OCBs. That to propose shall develop faster and better in many of the industrial and retail sector. Other cities of India that recently have started holding up the idea of Industrial Development in their locations are also on the advent of advancement and development. The events and expos like Plast Expo Saurastra and other such have given a good platform for these OCBs and foreign industries to get acquainted with Indian market and vision ahead.
In 2011 the
FDI Inflow of India was just $50 million but this system is surely to multiply
this digit in many folds. It is expected that by 2020 India will be able to
stand as the leading countries for FDI Inflow and preferred destination of
multinational companies and OCBs.
The
recently held Plast India 2012 was also a visionary to this opportunity. The
success of these exhibitions and expos is a clear indication that this FDI
declaration and invitation will be positively accepted by OCBs and other
foreign Industries. Now let us just see at the opportunities that this will
bring in and try to understand it in division of sectors.
Manufacturing Sector
Any
industry that is involved in manufacturing anything from plastics, metals, to
electronic raw materials can also get a significant advantage from the current
FDI advancement. Although this current FDI proposal doesn’t speak much of its various
sectors but as per the RBI’s (Reserve Bank of India) database the following are
the main areas of Manufacturing Sector wherein the role of FDI is much seen.
- Alcohol - Distillation & Brewing
- Coffee & Rubber Processing & Warehousing
- Defence Production
- Hazardous Chemicals and Isocyanates
- Industrial explosives - Manufacture
- Drugs and Pharmaceuticals
- Power Including Generation (except Atomic energy); transmission, distribution and power trading
But even in
these we can see the open invitation to other sectors that are backlinks to it.
Never to forget the simple demand and supply system of every economy and the
same will happen in India. The rise in alcohol sector will automatically give
rise to industries manufacturing bottles of glass, plastic, fibre, and such
addition to that it will also boost the packaging industry that is involved in
manufacturing packing products like cardboards, sponges, plastic wrappers, and
such.
The same is
the story with coffee & rubber processing companies. While in Defence Production,
companies involved in finishing raw metallic products into robust metals of
high quality with proper mixing of other metals and elements are also
benefitted. These robust finished metals and elements are the raw materials for
companies involved in Defence Production. It should not be forgotten that this
system will make the country work on the principles of world economy and there
are many better aspects clearly visible of it. As per the
announcement the aviation industry will have a 49% inflow permit for FDI and
that will develop not only the manufacturing sector but also the service sector
of the country.
Service Sector
In services
sector there are many areas wherein companies and work force are benefitted. Of
those few areas are…
- Civil Aviation
- Asset Reconstruction companies
- Banking (private) sector
- Broadcasting
- FM Radio
- Cable network
- Direct to home
- Hardware facilities such as up-linking, HUB.
- Up-linking a news and current affairs TV Channel
- Telecommunications
- Insurance
- Commodity Exchanges
These and
many other areas of the service sector are productive sections where a foreign
body can work in joint with local body to create a better commercial value of
the company as well as the produce. People employed in these divisions are also
credited to work with other divisions in joint and thereby their hard work is
paralleled by the hard work of people employed in the manufacturing sector.
The
broadcast sector has a total of 74% FDI inflow permit and also a good enough
space of Foreign Institutional Investment (FII) in India. This indicates to the
prospect future of the broadcasting sector in India. A real
economy is always wherein advancement in one sector results to the advancement
in another and the system thereby goes on developing and evolving better. So is
in the case of Foreign Direct Investment, Foreign Institutional Investment, and
other economic and financial reforms in India. The multi-brand retail and
single brand retail is one of the best divisions where FDI permit was essential
and will be beneficial to Indian as well as International market. As India has
permitted FDI in multi-brand retail up to 51% and in single-brand retail up to
100%, we can see that this will also enable other big companies like Wal-Mart,
TESCO, and such to see their market in India and also use their technology to the
best.
So now when
in any international exhibitions and expos Overseas Corporate Bodies and MNC
will visit India and open its market in India they will not face the problem of
not getting a space rather will be encouraged in every way; by the public cum
consumer and government.
